Brass Iris Tattoo

The Brass Iris Studio is a queer-owned, client-centred, and body-enthusiastic tattoo studio located on unceded lək̓ʷəŋən territory, colonially known as “Esquimalt BC”

Our mission is to support, educate, advocate and provide housing assistance for brain injury survivors and their families. In doing so, we strive to increase community awareness about brain injuries and reduce the harmful stigma experienced by survivors. Acquired brain injury (ABI) results from damage to the brain that occurs after birth – and no two injuries are alike. To meet the diverse needs of our community, we offer individual support, peer support, family support, and various group programs.

Victoria Pride Society (VPS) is a not-for-profit organization of people dedicated to supporting Greater Victoria’s 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

VPS creates opportunities for visibility, collaboration, ongoing conversations and celebration as we work towards equity for all queer community members.

Kara is a full-time tattoo artist and illustrator, working in Victoria and Nanaimo, BC. Her work is often inspired by her favourite subjects; dinosaurs, cute animals, flowers, and pop culture themes, all with glitter and rainbows. 

Kara's favourite many legged friends are; jewel beetles and leaf insects.
